Welcome to the 2012 Danville Hot Summer Nights Hot Rod and Classic Car Show Website. "PLEASE NOTE OUR NEW DATES"

PeopleThis is our 18th year! We hope you will join us........the dates for our 2012 shows will be  Thursdays JULY 19th. AND AUGUST 16TH. Show hours are 4 PM to 9 Pm, while our car staging starts at 2 PM.  Our last show for the summer has been pushed back a week due to our local school schedules which will be back in session during what was traditionally the last week in August.   Last year our growing show caused massive traffic congestion for parents who were trying to pick up their children from school.

In being considerate to the needs of our community, we have decided to do the last show on an earlier date.  This change of our show date will help parents get their children home safely and quickly when school is in session.  The local schools are not in session on August 18th!   This date change WILL NOT LESSEN THE TURN OUT OF COLLECTABLE CARS OR THE TURN OUT OF VISITING GUESTS!  THE SUMMER OF 2012 WILL BE OUR BIGGEST SHOW EVER!

There will be fun for every member of the family. See the cars your parents had, cars you had as a teenager in high school, cars you wish you had, cars you never saw or will see again!

Our event as always is located on Hartz Ave in the heart of beautiful historic downtown Danville. The show stretches from Faz's restaurant on Hartz Avenue proceeding north to San Ramon Valley High School and extends to many of the side streets as well.

Expect to see rare one-of-a-kind collector cars, along with the most powerful Hot Rods and Muscle cars of the 1960's. You will see Custom Designed Cars from some of the world's most famous automobile designers, and beautifully maintained classic originals--up to and thru the year 1976................. babied from the day they left the show room floor.

"TOWN CHOICE AWARDS"

Awards1The prestigious "Town Choice Awards" will be presented to 20 car owners. The award is a beautifully engraved plaque and it is our way of saying 'Thank you for bringing your car to Danville'. Read more about the awards.

History of the Event

In 1993, a few friends were sitting in historic Elliots Bar and thought that Danville would be a nice venue to have a hot rod and classic car show and a great way to stimulate business for the downtown merchants. They rolled up their sleeves, went through the appropriate channels to kick it off, and a car show was born! Little did they know back then how big this event would become.

We are now celebrating our 18th year and entertaining more than 30,000 visitors, residents, and consumers during this 2 show event. People from around the nation call to find out the dates of the show and plan their vacations around The Danville Hot Summer Nights Car Show. There are people who have specifically built or purchased a hot rod or a classic just to have the pride of showing their car at this fabulous Danville event!!
